The Omni Show
Overview
The Omni Show was an in-house podcast created to expand how The Omni Group connected with its customers through long-form audio. The goal was to tell real stories about the people behind the software and, later, the people using it.
My Role
I initiated and led the project from concept through launch. I directed the creative, production, and marketing strategy for the podcast and managed a two-person production team. Early on, I was also hands-on with production and editorial direction.

Project Details
Before production began, we surveyed Omni’s email list:
- 53% of respondents listened to podcasts
- 82% of those listeners were interested in an Omni-produced show
The results supported moving forward with the podcast.
Evolution & Outcome
The show initially focused on internal stories from Omni employees. Eleven months in, we shifted to an interview format highlighting Omni users and their professional use cases, with Brent Simmons joining as host. That change led to a 37% increase in listeners and clarified the podcast’s role as a user-focused storytelling platform.
